North Arrow Minerals Inc. (NAR: TSXV) is pleased to announce that D. Grenville Thomas has been appointed as President and CEO and that Mr. Gordon Clarke has been appointed Vice-President, Exploration, for North Arrow Minerals Inc. These appointments are effective as of April 1, 2009. Mr. Thomas and Mr. Clarke will both continue to serve on North Arrow's board of directors.
Mr. Thomas has a long and successful history of creating value for shareholders. In January of 2009, Mr. Thomas was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame. He is a graduate of University College, Cardiff, Wales having obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering. Mr. Thomas founded and has held positions as Chairman, President and Director of Toronto-based Aber Resources Ltd. (now Harry Winston Diamond Corporation). Harry Winston holds interests in various properties throughout the Northwest Territories, including the Diavik Diamond Mine. Mr. Thomas currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board with Strongbow Exploration Inc. and he serves as a Director for Helio Resource Corporation and North Arrow Minerals Inc.
Mr. Clarke has a Master of Science Degree in Geology from the University of New Brunswick. Mr. Clarke's career experience has been primarily in Canada's north where he has carried out extensive field work and has managed numerous precious metal, base metal and diamond exploration programs. Mr. Clarke is a registered Professional Geologist in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut and is the Treasurer of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Chamber of Mines. Most recently, Mr. Clarke served as the President and CEO of North Arrow.
North Arrow's primary focus for the 2009 field season will be to advance its wholly owned Phoenix and Torp lithium projects located in northern Canada.
